Eulo is a small rural and remote town approximately 68km west of Cunnamulla, in south-west Queensland, and is part of the Darling Downs South West Region. Eulo State School opened in 1888 and now, 129 years on, we are extremely proud of our 15 students, who learn in an integrated kindergarten to year 6 classroom.
Our school motto, ‘Learning Together’, is the cornerstone of all our teaching and learning at Eulo, which is supported by our Age Appropriate Pedagogy framework for planning, teaching and learning. Our students are the central focus for how and what we teach, which allows for all of our students to engage with the curriculum in meaningful ways.
Being a rural and remote school, our two classrooms, library, office, sports field and playground are surrounded by bushland. This provides a safe and quiet place in which our students learn and grow. We have the privilege of being a fully air-conditioned school, which ensures that no matter the temperature during winter or summer, our students well-being is catered for.
Because of our location, and subsequent distance to the nearest Kindergarten, Eulo State School is proud to offer the State Schools Kindergarten program, which ran as a trial in 2017 and is now a permanent part of the education we offer. Kindy aged children play and learn together as valuable members of our K-2 group for 15 hours a week.
We are also extremely fortunate to have an exceptional Parents and Citizens' Associations (P&C) team at Eulo State School and all parents and citizens of the community are welcome to attend our meetings. Our friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated P&C ensure that every person’s opinions and support is valued and encouraged. They also work tirelessly to support the school to achieve all the outcomes we set for ourselves.
Eulo State School really is a one of a kind school, and it is where we work to make dreams come true!
